Looking for a bite to eat? But fed up of the generic chains filling the high streets? You’ve come to the right place.. check out our recommended hidden eating spots in Swansea.
1. Star bar and Chinese restaurant, Green Dragon Lane, Swansea

This Authentic chinese cuisine eatery can be found hidden away on a city centre side street. The prices are very student friendly and the reviews of the food are brilliant. Some firm favourites are baked port ribs with gingko and fried king prawns with three cups sauce! Give it a try and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
2. Square Peg coffee house, Sketty
The makers of Square Peg wanted to give it a comfortable environment where people could come relax for a couple of hours, maybe do some work with their famous coffee and perhaps a bite to eat of their homemade delicious cakes or brunch options. Starting to get more popular with the students with reviews such as Lovely little place; friendly, homely and all profits going to charity. Yummy coffee and great music being the cherry on top!” – Jennifer Johannesson, Facebook.

3. Thai Taste, Swansea Market

4. Pop up restaurant at Carreg Adventure, Gower

5. Lezzet Authentic restaurant, Penllergaer
We battled with whether to put this on the list as it is a little further out so you may need a car to get here… but its so deserving of the spot on the list and you’ll agree if you’ve been!
Although it doesn’t look like much from the outside, it serves alfresco Turkish and Mediterranean food cooked in stone oven or charcoal grill. Its located on the edge of Penllergaer Woods. Some foods served are chicken Shish, Turkish Pide and Stonebaked pizzas. Nichola Rees said on Facebook “Visited this lovely place today. Lush food, takes me back to Turkey. Friendly staff, can’t wait to go back evening time.”
