Since Dundee is a relatively small city, it would be easy to think that your accommodation options are limited. However, that’s not the case. There are many student halls to choose from. To make the choice less overwhelming, here’s your comprehensive guide on the best student accommodation in Dundee.
The Hub
Located a short five-minute walk from the University of Dundee, The Hub is a popular accommodation amongst students. A modern private student hall that’s under new management, online reviews rate the security, value for money, and location highly. The cost for rent per week depends on which room you choose, but they start to go for £151. With on-site maintenance, bike storage, and CCTV, you have all the necessities. If the idea of sorting your bills out each month doesn’t appeal, The Hub is all bills included. No wonder The Hub finds itself on our guide for the best student accommodation in Dundee!
Peterson Hall
If you’re looking for a cheaper option, then look no further than Peterson Hall! A non-ensuite room is £110/week. Your money gets you a stylish and modern accommodation that is conveniently located a short five-minute walk to campus. Complete with CCTV security, wheelchair access, bike storage, and all bills included, you get plenty of bang for your buck. If you’d prefer to have your own bathroom, you’re looking at £154/week. Head to their website to see the different rooms that are available to you!
Parker House
With eleven room types to choose from, you’re spoilt for choice! This student accommodation is a bit more expensive than the other options. Their silver en-suite plus room goes for £180/week, which is definitely on the pricer side. However, your rent covers a gym, contents insurance, and 24/7 security. If you’re looking to splurge slightly on your accommodation, definitely check out Parker House.
Keiller Court
If the idea of queuing to wash your clothes in a designated laundry room doesn’t appeal, check out Keiller Court where every kitchen has its own washer and dryer. Trust me, that’s a novelty. Located close to Lidl and only a six-minute walk to the University of Dundee, you’ll be in a good location. For £140/week, you can secure a double bed in a 3 bed flat. Your rent includes a flat-screen TV and TV licence per flat, free contents insurance, and an inbound parcel distribution service. Comparatively, it’s on the cheaper side, but previous tenants here have rated their experience here particularly highly!
Belmont Flats
If you’re looking to live on the University of Dundee’s city campus, check out Belmont Flats. It’s in the perfect place if you’re the type to roll out of bed just before your lecture starts. Also, it’s only a ten minute walk to the majority of city centre shops. Due to its location, it is quite pricey. For a standard room, you’re looking at £225.62/week. For the premier room, it’s £230.74. The only drawback is that there isn’t a common room in the halls to hang out with students from other flats. But the kitchen and lounge space is large so you can easily have your friends around.
West Park Villas
If having an en-suite bathroom is important to you, check out the West Park Villas. All the rooms are en-suite. The price is fairly average, coming in at £153.82/week. If you’re sociable and like the idea of the proper university experience, these might be the halls for you as there are ten people in one flat. Check out their website to see where you could be living!
Stanley Studios
Studios are made for those who hate the idea of sharing their space with flatmates. Obviously this luxury comes at a cost. The price per week starts at £199, which is expensive. But this includes a double bed, a kitchenette, desk, and dining space. Communally, there’s a gym, study spaces, and a cinema. It’s definitely on the fancier end of the spectrum, but all the amenities and the close location to campus means it has earned its place on our list of the best student accommodations in Dundee.
Parklands
This luxury student accommodation is new for 2025! You cannot get more modern than Parklands. With super fast wifi, a sky lounge, disabled access, a gym, and a games area, it has everything you could possibly want. There are different room types available. Marketgait Apartments
This student accommodation is a five minute walk away from the University of Dundee. It comes with a games hub, a pool table, a communal TV, and a garden. The classic en-suite room costs £188/week. Though if having flatmates is your idea of hell, there are studios available at £215/week.
Discovery Studios
