Some of the rooms here tend to have quite a tense, chilling atmosphere, but if that’s not your thing, they label which ones are scare-free to help you make your decision. And each room is carefully crafted to fit its theme. Alongside this, they have a bar and kitchen, offering a range of food and drinks, like pizza and cocktails!

2. Cryptology Escape Rooms

Cryptology has four creative and immersive escape rooms, including “The Mysterious Case Of Hugh Dunnitt”, a fascinating murder mystery that gets your team thinking, or “Afterlife”, a room about life beyond the grave. Each one is packed with captivating puzzles and details. The difficulty varies depending on the room, but the website clearly labels which ones are best for beginners, which is perfect if you don’t want to be thrown in at the deep end. They also offer a student discount when you book using a valid student email address, so it’s a perfect option for uni groups.

3. Crack The Code Escape Rooms

Honestly, I had no idea there were so many escape rooms in Sheffield until I started looking. And these are just a few highlights. But there are lots more out there! Each with its own unique, interactive challenges. So, whether you’re looking for something different to do or just fancy a good laugh, escape rooms are a fantastic way to mix things up – especially since so many of them offer student discounts! They’re also a good sober option, too, if you’re not really into drinking. So, go and see if you’ve got what it takes to beat the clock!
