One of the UK’s biggest techno festivals is returning to Scotland for a historic final edition. Terminal V Festival 2026 will take place on 18-19th April 2026 at the Royal Highland Centre & Showground in Edinburgh, bringing together more than 100 artists across six stages.
Since launching in 2017, Terminal V has grown into Scotland’s number one electronic music festival and one of the most important techno events in Europe. This year’s festival will also mark the final Terminal V to take place in Edinburgh, closing an important chapter for the event after almost a decade at the venue.
With a huge international lineup, emerging Scottish artists and large-scale stage production, Terminal V is a key date in the UK’s rave calendar.
Where is Terminal V Festival?
Terminal V takes place at the Royal Highland Centre & Showground, located just outside Edinburgh city centre. The large venue has hosted the festival since its launch and has become closely associated with Terminal V’s industrial techno atmosphere.
The site allows organisers to transform warehouses and outdoor spaces into large festival arenas, with multiple stages spread across the venue. Edinburgh’s strong rave scene has helped the festival grow into one of the most popular techno music events in Scotland.
The Royal Highland Centre is also easily accessible from the city centre, making it convenient for visitors travelling from across the UK.

Terminal V’s Stages:
Terminal V takes place across six stages, each with its own sound and atmosphere. Moving between areas is a big part of the festival experience, with different corners of the site dedicated to different styles of electronic music.
Area V acts as the festival’s flagship stage, hosting peak-time headline techno sets. Highlights here include the likes of Sara Landry and Klangkuenstler.
The Hangar focuses on harder and faster sounds, delivering intense techno sets from artists such as 999999999 and I Hate Models.

The final Terminal V in Edinburgh:
Festival organisers have confirmed that April 2026 will be the final edition of Terminal V held in Edinburgh. Rising operational costs and logistical challenges have made it increasingly difficult to host the event at this scale in the city.
Co-founder Derek Martin said that Edinburgh has been home to the festival since its launch and that many of Terminal V’s biggest moments have happened there.
The organisers plan to announce a new festival location for 2027, alongside a global tour of international shows celebrating ten years of Terminal V.
For fans, Terminal V 2026 represents the final opportunity to experience the festival at the Royal Highland Centre.
With more than 100 DJs, huge stage production, and a historic final weekend in Edinburgh, Terminal V 2026 is set to be one of the biggest techno festivals in the UK this year.
