Founded by two New Zealanders, The Bach is a really great laid-back brunch place in Dundee. It has a wide range of food, that’s beyond your typical English or Scottish breakfast. It has bao buns, burgers, tacos, hawker rotis, and more, but it does also have the classics like French toast, eggs, smashed avo etc. So basically everything you could want…and with speciality coffee available too! Brunch is served all day from 9am until 4.30pm, so you can even enjoy it first thing in the morning or mid-afternoon.

2. Pacamara Food & Drink

Pacamara is one of the brunch places made for Dundee students. At graduation, they offer free Prosecco, and at normal brunching hours, they serve a range of great cocktails, including bellinis, mimosas, Aperol spritz, or their house Pacamara Spritz (served from 12pm). When it comes to brunch food, you can enjoy a range of dishes like Bubble and Squeak Benny, French toast, organic Colombian eggs and more. The cakes are also incredible too, and you might as well…life is hard without sugar.

3. The Post House Coffee Co

If you’re looking for a hearty, classic brunch in Dundee, The Post House Coffee Co is a great spot – and quite affordable too. You can choose from classic egg-based dishes, Belgian waffles or vegan alternatives. Plus they have dishes like Hebridean, which is like eggs hollandaise with black budding, or Eggs Ecosse, which includes haggis, or the Post House Stack, which is a poached egg, herb butter, sausage patties, black pudding, bacon, chorizo and hollandaise all in one! Their meat and bread is from local farmers and bakers too, so you know you’re getting quality food here.

Beyond. the food, the Post House Coffee Co is a historic site in Dundee to enjoy. You can even see original artefacts in there like a century-old typewriter, a 1920s Post Master’s briefcase and a 1980s red Royal Mail bike.

4. Braes

If you’re looking for a boozy brunch in Dundee, Braes is probably the place you need to head to. For £31, you can get two hours of unlimited booze, including Espresso, Pornstar, Aperol spritz, and much more (as well as mocktails if you prefer non-alcoholic options).

BUT if this sounds like too much, you can opt for their STUDENT bottomless brunch instead. For just £25, you can have 90 minutes of unlimited drinks and a brunch! This offer is only on Sunday0Fridays though, and you’ll need the MiXR student card (you need to download an app for this).

The family-owned restaurant has delicious brunch dishes to choose from. Think pancakes, French toast, and different egg brunches, or their breakfast roll which you can choose to have alongside bacon, eggs, black puddings haggis, or sausages. And as the best in Broughty Ferry for cocktails, Bruach has  Elderflower Fizz, Mimosas and Bloody Marys if you want to make the brunch extra special. Of course, you can also choose from their range of coffees, or other hot drinks too.
