Overview

Is Loughborough University right for you?

Loughborough is a big campus university on the edge of a small Leicestershire market town, famous above all for sport. The campus is huge and self-contained, with 19 halls (18 for undergraduates), elite sports facilities and the Students' Union all on site, and a free on-campus bus. It's also strong in engineering, design and business.

Hall life is a big deal here: halls have their own committees, traditions, balls and sports teams, and many offer catered packages. Rooms are good value, from about £124 a week. The trade-off is that Loughborough is a small town, so if you want big-city nightlife, Nottingham and Leicester are a short train ride away.
