Jesy Nelson spent nine years in one of the biggest girl groups on the planet, scored a top-five solo hit with Nicki Minaj and has fronted two Prime Video documentary series. Now she’s back in the headlines, with reports claiming she’s in talks to head into the jungle for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2026. So what is Jesy Nelson’s net worth, and how much of her fortune comes from her Little Mix years?

Unifresher estimates Jesy Nelson’s net worth at around £6 million in 2026, within a likely range of £4 million to £8 million.

Here’s how we got there. Most of Jesy’s wealth was built between 2011 and 2020, when she was one of four equal members of Little Mix. The band’s earnings ran through two jointly owned companies, Eternal Dance Media and Eternal Magic Touring, and Companies House records show Jesy was a director of both until July 2021. Reports based on those accounts in 2020 suggested the group had made around £28.5 million to £30 million since winning The X Factor. A quarter of that is roughly £7 million to £7.5 million before personal tax. On top of that come her share of the 2020 earnings, songwriting royalties from the Little Mix tracks she co-wrote, and brand and TV work from the band’s peak years.

Then there are the deductions. A large slice of a pop star’s income goes to the taxman, plus management, styling and the cost of living in the public eye. Her solo years have also been patchier: she signed to Polydor in 2021 but parted ways with the label in 2022 before releasing an album. Her personal company, Jessica Louise Ltd, reported net liabilities of about £97,000 in its accounts to March 2024. That doesn’t mean she’s short of money, as most of her savings are probably held personally, but it does suggest her solo work hasn’t been a big earner.

More recently, her two Prime Video documentary series and a reported six-figure I’m A Celebrity deal (if it happens) would add to the pot. Weighing all of that up, we think around £6 million is a fair estimate. As with any private individual, only Jesy and her accountant know the true figure.

Who is Jesy Nelson?

Jessica Louise Nelson was born on 14 June 1991 in Romford, east London, so she’s 35 in 2026. Before fame, she auditioned as a solo singer for the eighth series of The X Factor in 2011. The judges put her in a group with Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and that group became Little Mix.

Jesy Nelson’s career

Little Mix and The X Factor

Little Mix were crowned winners of The X Factor on 11 December 2011, becoming the first group ever to win the show. Over the next nine years they released six studio albums and racked up 17 UK top-ten singles, including five UK number ones, alongside sell-out arena tours and a Brit Award for “Shout Out to My Ex”. Leaving Little Mix

On 14 December 2020, Jesy announced she was leaving the band, saying the pressure of being in a girl group had taken a toll on her mental health. She had already spoken openly about online abuse and its impact on her in the BBC Three documentary Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out (2019), which won the Factual Entertainment award at the National Television Awards. Perrie, Jade and Leigh-Anne carried on as a trio before going on hiatus in 2022. You can read more about Leigh-Anne’s solo career in our guide to Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s net worth.

Solo music

Jesy signed with Polydor Records in May 2021, and her debut solo single “Boyz”, featuring Nicki Minaj, came out on 8 October 2021 and went straight in at number four on the UK Singles Chart. She split from Polydor in July 2022, citing creative differences, and released “Bad Thing” independently in April 2023, followed by “Mine”, a collaboration with her then-partner Zion Foster, in August 2024. Her debut album has never been released.

Documentaries and TV work

TV has become an important earner for Jesy. Her first Prime Video docuseries, Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, launched in February 2026 and followed her high-risk twin pregnancy and her side of the story about leaving the band. In it, she said she was stepping back from the music industry for now. A follow-up series, Jesy Nelson: Life Changing, was released in July 2026.

Family life and SMA campaigning

Jesy’s twin daughters, Ocean and Story, were born prematurely in May 2025. In January 2026, she shared that both girls had been diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) type 1, a rare genetic condition that affects muscle strength. You can read more about SMA in this ITV News explainer.

Since then, she has campaigned for SMA to be added to the newborn screening programme. Her petition passed 150,000 signatures and led to a debate in Parliament, and she became a patron of the charity SMA UK. Screening for SMA is now being introduced in England as part of an evaluation starting in October 2026, a move Jesy described as a milestone for the SMA community.

Is Jesy Nelson going on I’m A Celebrity 2026?

Nothing is confirmed yet. In September 2026, The Sun reported that Jesy had been in talks with ITV for weeks about joining this year’s series, claiming negotiations were at a “very promising stage” and centred on a six-figure deal. According to the paper’s unnamed source, she would want to use the experience to raise awareness of SMA. ITV has said any names linked to the show are “just speculation”.

The 2026 series is expected to begin in mid-November, with the final line-up usually revealed shortly before launch. For a flavour of what jungle stars are worth, take a look at our guide to the I’m A Celebrity 2025 cast net worths.
