Picnic in the Park

Sheffield is the perfect place for a picnic with over 80 public parks. Our favourites include Endcliffe Park, Crookes Valley Park and Graves Park but these just a few. Grab your nibbles, a bottle of wine and hope it doesn’t rain for this cheap date idea. 

Enjoy a Pint in One of Sheffield’s Many Pubs

Tennis in Weston Park

Hidden in the Winter Gardens is the Millenium Art Gallery. With an ever-changing selection of exhibits, this is a unique date option if your date likes art and culture. Showroom Cinema

They show a range of international films if you fancy something a bit different and at only £4.50 a ticket for under 26-year-olds this is a great choice whilst saving your pennies.

Once at Rivelin Valley Trail, take a short walk over the hills to reach Our Cow Molly where you’ll be rewarded with delicious ice cream and great views of Sheffield’s countryside.

Bole Hill Views

Mayfield Alpaca Farm

Sharrow Lantern Festival

Address: Mount Pleasant Park, S2, Sheffield Every year in Mount Pleasant Park, the Sharrow Lantern Carnival takes place. Attendees bring a lantern based on the assigned theme which this year was ‘The Wild Wild Wood’.  Take part in free lantern making workshops and if that date goes well, explore the festival together. The carnival itself is very romantic with the warm lights of the lanterns overlooking the city, and it’s all free, making it one of the top cheap dates in Sheffield.

Weston Park Museum

This is a nice option for those on a budget as not only is the museum free but there’s a couple of lovely parks nearby for a romantic stroll.

The Climbing Works
