Our verdict

Strong design and amenities, with booking rules that deserve careful comparison

  • Best for students who value modern studios, well-equipped social spaces, included contents insurance and a structured resident experience programme.
  • Useful flexibility. Collegiate offers group bookings, four-instalment plans, academic short stays from two weeks and summer stays from seven nights.
  • Check the exact agreement. Direct-let, Scottish and university-partner bookings can use different reservation, cooling-off and cancellation rules. Essex university accommodation is a notable exception.
