The city’s very own public library is the best place to study outside whichever campus you may be on. You can also take a screen break by gazing out the panoramic views of central Birmingham and taking a stroll on the rooftop gardens.

This is a great library, suited especially for students at the University of Birmingham. The library has a large number of study spaces on every floor so you can get your head down and get some work done. There are many amenities to suit your every need including a large host of books and many computers. There is also a theatre and café so if you fancy taking a break, why not watch a gripping show with a coffee?

This is a great library if you live in Harborne or nearby in Selly Oak. It is situated at the top end of High Street and is served by several bus routes. If you are looking to use a computer, they are bookable by the hour and there are some machines available for shorter periods. There is a large array of sections including fiction and non-fiction sections. Harborne Library is the result of the remodelling of the 1892 community library building. It has lots of space, with three floors to enjoy. There are many amenities to suit your every need, so why not pop down?

This is a great library if you are looking for somewhere versatile and old fashioned to study. It’s located at the POD and is well connected to the community, providing lots of resources and a space for families. There aren’t any study spaces or computers to use, but it’s still a great library to find anything you need to help with studying such as books (obviously) and other facilities. It has a small collection of Adult Fiction, Non-Fiction and a good collection of children’s books.
