Homemade Cafe is in the old cricket pavilion building in the heart of Forest Recreation Ground Park, just to the northwest of the city centre. It’s closed on Mondays, but open from 10 am until 4:30 pm Tuesdays through Saturdays and 4pm on Sundays. So, you can take your dog on a picturesque walk along the Canal and then reward yourself with some food at Cured. This is another one for the UON students. Located on Beeston High Street, a 15-minute or so walk from the University Park campus’s west entrance, you will find Bendigo Lounge. They have a wide range of food on offer, from brunch to sandwiches to burgers to tapas to salads. The best thing is that dogs are welcome and are greeted with a water bowl and dog biscuit.
