Few halls get you this close: campus and the Library are both about five minutes on foot, and 730 residents means plenty of people on your doorstep. Choose from en-suites, studios or a twudio you apply for jointly with a friend. We prefer it to Bishop Gate for the shorter walk, as the rents are the same.
Worth knowing: Laundry costs about £2.80 a wash and £1.50 a dry on top of rent.

Worth knowing: The university lists its studios as unavailable, so en-suites are the only choice.

Warwick guaranteed eligible first years a room for 2026/27 if they applied and held an unconditional firm offer by 18 August 2026. Coventry University only describes a guarantee for applicants accepted through UCAS Clearing, and says offers otherwise depend on availability. So Coventry University students should apply as soon as they have made it their firm choice.
Are there catered halls in Coventry?
We did not find a catered option among the halls we checked. Coventry University's FAQs do not mention meal plans, and the Warwick residences we checked are self-catered with shared or private kitchens. Our older guide listed Quadrant Hall as catered, but we could not confirm this from an official page, so budget for your own food.
When should I apply for Coventry halls?
Apply as soon as you can after making your firm choice. Coventry University opened September 2026 applications from February 2026 and had not published 2027 dates when we checked. Warwick's 2026/27 guarantee date was 18 August 2026. Unite is already taking 2027/28 bookings for Raglan House and Queens Park House, with a price promise.
Is Singer Hall still part of Coventry University?
Singer Hall is now listed by Mezzino, not on Coventry University's page of its own halls. The university sold the 627-bed building to fund manager Frogmore in 2023. It is about a 10-minute walk from campus at 619 Canterbury Street, with 2026/27 weekly prices of £89 to £175, so you book with Mezzino rather than the university.
Which private halls are closest to Coventry University?
Gulson Gardens is about an eight-minute walk, according to Fresh, though we could not confirm its rents. Raglan House is under 10 minutes on foot from £93 a week for 2027/28, and Singer Hall is about 10 minutes from £89 for 2026/27.
