Now that Bojo has announced the return to a somewhat normal life, we can move from the pre-recorded shows to finally been able to watch performances live. Just for you, we have got together some of the venues in Leeds that hold live gigs and music that you and your friends can go to for a fun night out.
1. The Duck & Drake

Located in the centre of Leeds, the Duck & Drake is one of the city’s most popular music venues. You can find the tastiest of drinks here, and they hold fantastic live music events several times a week.
2. The Wardrobe
Address: 6 St Peter’s Square, Leeds LS9 8AH
The Wardrobe is a restaurant, bar and music venue all-in-one. It holds events from stars such as Carl Hutchinson and Louis Berry, which can be enjoyed whilst trying out their delicious menu.
3. Canal Mills
Address: Brandon St, Armley, Leeds LS12 2EB
With a recent refurbishment project, Canal Mills is no longer the old 18th-century textile mill it used to be. Today, it stands in all its glory and is an event venue that holds live music gigs and dance events. Tickets for events are available to purchase online and is an amazing place to go for a memorable night out with your friends.
4. The Belgrave Music Hall

The Belgrave Place an independent venue with 3 Floors holding a Bar, two Kitchen Diners and its very own stage area. You can find a mixture of film and art exhibitions and live music whilst being served canteen styled food. Yum!
5. Sela Bar
Address: 20 New Briggate, Leeds LS1 6NU
Another great place to visit to enjoy live music is Sela Bar. It holds performances from regional and international stars such as CAS Trio and Dr Lonnie Smith. ‘Live at Sela’ is a weekly event that promises local jazz music from artists every Thursday and is popular for the variety of music performed.
6. Hyde Park Book Club

Don’t worry, you won’t be in silence, flicking through the pages of a book in this club. The Hyde Park Book Club offers free live shows from both national and local artists. If you get lucky, you can book yourself in for an Open Turntable night. This is where you and your friends can take control and be the clubs very own DJ.
