Nevermore Academy might look like a gothic boarding school for outcasts, but the people who bring it to life are anything but skint. Netflix’s Wednesday is one of the biggest English-language series the streamer has ever made, and its cast mixes Oscar winners, cult icons and a Gen Z lead who has become one of Hollywood’s busiest names.

Season two landed in two parts in August and September 2025, adding Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper and Thandiwe Newton to the line-up and topping Netflix’s English-language charts in dozens of countries. Season three finished filming in autumn 2026 and brings in Winona Ryder and Eva Green, with Joanna Lumley promoted to the main cast. Netflix hasn’t set a release date at the time of writing, so there’s time to swot up.

So while you’re waiting, here’s the question that matters: who in the Addams-verse is genuinely loaded, and who’s merely very comfortable?

Quick disclaimer: these are Unifresher’s own estimates, based on reported earnings, deals and business records. Celebrity net worths are educated guesses, not bank statements, and figures are rounded and in pounds.

The top tier: genuinely loaded

1. Catherine Zeta-Jones – £40 million

The Swansea-born star has been Hollywood royalty for nearly three decades, from The Mask of Zorro and Entrapment to an Oscar for Chicago and a Tony for A Little Night Music. She was also the face of Elizabeth Arden, and her T-Mobile advertising deal was widely reported at around $20 million. We estimate her own fortune at around £40 million, and that’s before you count husband Michael Douglas’s, which we haven’t.

2. Steve Buscemi – £18 million

Principal Dort himself has one of the most recognisable faces in cinema, thanks to Reservoir Dogs, Fargo, Con Air, Armageddon and a long run as the voice of Randall in Monsters, Inc. He also led five seasons of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire as Nucky Thompson. Four decades of steady, well-paid work puts him at around £18 million on our estimate.

3. Winona Ryder – £14 million

Ryder has the rare honour of starring in two of Netflix’s biggest shows. Before arriving at Nevermore for season three, she spent five seasons as Joyce Byers in Stranger Things, where her pay was reported to have climbed to around $350,000 an episode. Add Beetlejuice, Heathers, Edward Scissorhands and 2024’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and we estimate she’s worth around £14 million, in line with our Stranger Things cast rich list.

The comfortably minted middle

4. Thandiwe Newton – £12 million

Season two’s Dr Rachael Fairburn arrived with an Emmy already on the shelf, won for her role as Maeve in HBO’s Westworld. Add a CV that includes Mission: Impossible 2, Crash, Solo: A Star Wars Story and Line of Duty, and you’ve got one of Britain’s most consistently employed screen actors. We put her at around £12 million.

5. Eva Green – £10 million

Season three’s Ophelia Frump, Wednesday’s aunt, is best known to most of us as Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale. She has since led three seasons of Penny Dreadful and starred in Dumbo, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and France’s two-part The Three Musketeers. Steady leading-lady fees on both sides of the Channel add up to around £10 million on our estimate.

6. Joanna Lumley – £10 million

Grandmama is a genuine British institution. Bond girl in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Purdey in The New Avengers, Patsy in Absolutely Fabulous, then a second career fronting travel documentaries for ITV, plus books and voiceovers. Six decades of work, now with main-cast status on Wednesday, puts her at around £10 million. Sweetie, darling, that’s a lot of Bolly.

7. Jenna Ortega – £8 million

Yes, the star of the show is only seventh, which says more about the company she keeps than her bank balance. Ortega is a producer on Wednesday as well as its lead, has fronted Scream, Scream VI, X and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and has been an ambassador for Adidas and Dior since 2023. Still in her early twenties, we estimate she’s worth around £8 million, a figure that’s climbing fast.

8. Billie Piper – £6 million

Season two’s Isadora Capri was a teen pop star first, becoming the youngest artist to debut at number one in the UK with Because We Want To in 1998. Then came Rose Tyler in Doctor Who, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, the Sky series I Hate Suzie (which she co-created) and Netflix’s Scoop. We estimate she’s worth around £6 million.

9. Luis Guzmán – £4 million

Gomez Addams has been one of Hollywood’s favourite character actors since the 1980s, popping up in Carlito’s Way, Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Traffic and Punch-Drunk Love, plus TV roles in Code Black and Narcos. He was promoted to Wednesday’s main cast for season two. We put his fortune at around £4 million.

Rising stars

10. Emma Myers – £1.5 million

Enid Sinclair, everyone’s favourite werewolf roommate, has had a cracking few years. Myers led A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder for the BBC and Netflix, then landed a role in A Minecraft Movie, one of 2025’s biggest box-office hits. We estimate she’s worth around £1.5 million, and that number should only go up.

11. Hunter Doohan – £1 million

Tyler Galpin, Jericho’s resident Hyde, was a regular in Showtime’s Your Honor alongside Bryan Cranston before Wednesday made him famous, and his season one twist was one of the show’s most talked-about moments. With the show’s success and a return for season three, we estimate he’s worth around £1 million.

12. Joy Sunday – £1 million

Siren queen Bianca Barclay is played by Joy Sunday, who first got noticed in Netflix’s Dear White People. Wednesday has turned her into a red-carpet regular and given her a much bigger profile with casting directors, and she’s back for season three. We put her at around £1 million.

The mystery fortunes

Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley) and Moosa Mostafa (Eugene) are two of the show’s younger stars, and there simply isn’t enough public information about their earnings to put a sensible figure on either. Both are back for season three, so watch this space.

For context on just how big Wednesday is, its first season sits at the top of Netflix’s own most popular English-language TV list, in the same conversation as Squid Game and the show that made Millie Bobby Brown a millionaire before she could drive.

Wednesday rich list at a glance

Rank Name Estimated net worth
1 Catherine Zeta-Jones £40 million
2 Steve Buscemi £18 million
3 Winona Ryder £14 million
4 Thandiwe Newton £12 million
5 Eva Green £10 million
6 Joanna Lumley £10 million
7 Jenna Ortega £8 million
8 Billie Piper £6 million
9 Luis Guzmán £4 million
10 Emma Myers £1.5 million
11 Hunter Doohan £1 million
12 Joy Sunday £1 million
– Isaac Ordonez Not estimated
– Moosa Mostafa Not estimated

Add it all up and the Wednesday cast is worth roughly £125 million on our estimates. Plenty to keep Thing in hand cream for life.
