Overview

Is the University of Buckingham right for you?

Buckingham is a small, independent university in the market town of Buckingham. It's best known for its two-year degrees, which pack a three-year course into two calendar years with shorter holidays. Classes are small, and the university's own line is that you're a name, not a number.

It's a very different experience from a big university. There are only a few thousand students, the town is quiet, and nightlife is limited. As a private university, its fees work differently from most UK universities, so check the costs carefully. If you want an intensive, personal degree and to finish quickly, it's worth a look.
