1. Funkadelic Freshers Special: 15th September 2025
Kick Freshers off with a bang at Moloko’s Funkadelic Freshers event. If your idea of a perfect night out includes house and dance music all night long, then look no further. Moloko is one of Liverpool’s favourite nights out throughout the year. They’re famous for their drag brunches and cocktails, so keep your eye on their events during and after freshers week!
2. The Secret Warehouse Rave: 16th September 2025
If you have no plans for the second day of freshers week, you must go to the Secret Warehouse Rave. As the name suggests, the location is a secret. Those who have tickets will be texted the location closer to the time of the event. This event promises a good time and good music. The mystery is a plus!
3. The Taylor Swift Disco: 16th September 2025
If you read the first two options and worried that Liverpool’s clubs only offer rave and house music, panic not! This Taylor Swift event at Soho Bar in Liverpool, located in Concert Square, promises a different type of night to the other rave events. Dress up as your favourite Taylor Swift era and head to Soho Bar this freshers week.
4. We Love Wednesdays: 17th September 2025
You might think the best nights out will be on a Friday or Saturday. You’ll quickly learn that at university, Wednesdays are the new Fridays and Saturdays. And nobody does a Wednesday night like Level. They promise cheap drink prices, giveaways, and the best events all throughout the year. If you don’t want to spend a small fortune on drinks, Level offer £3.50 doubles all night long! Their venue has three floors, which offer pop, house, and RnB music. Something for everyone!
5. Official Freshers House Party: 17th September 2025
When you think of a classic freshers event, what you’re imaging is probably something that resembles the Official Freshers House Party at the Electrik Warehouse. With house music and laser and light shows, this night will be one to remember!
6. Skint Freshers Special: 18th September 2025
Moloko is so good we have to head back there again. This party is a freshers exclusive, so make the most of it whilst you can. Tech, house, and disco all night long at Moloko. The venue, Peacock, is running a parallel event where they’re playing hip hop and RnB music. You can pick the vibe and then the venue.
7. Rewind: 18th September 2025
If rave music, house music, and Taylor Swift is not your vibe, head to Fusion for their throwback night. 90s, 00s, and some of the current charts as well make for the best playlist for a freshers night out. Fusion stays open 7 nights a week until 6 am, a perfect venue for freshers week!
8. Toybox Saturdays: 24th September 2025
We’re heading back to Level for Toybox Saturday. This event isn’t a freshers exclusive, but a weekly party. As we know, Level is divided into different rooms. In their main rooms, they play your favourite commercial RnB and dance mash ups. On their second floor, they play the biggest house tunes. On their third floor, they play pop and classics, complete with a ball pit and an LED dance floor. Level promises special guests each week, so keep your eye out!
9. Pandemonium Saturdays: 24th September 2025
If you’re an Electrik Warehouse fan, Pandemonium Saturdays are going to be your favourite day of the week. They promise all kinds of music, so if you and your housemates have different tastes, you’ll still find something for everyone. Indie music makes it first appearance on this list, but you’ll still find the classic RnB and pop music in their rotation. This night will be the perfect conclusion for your freshers week in Liverpool!
Liverpool has a party reputation and it does not disappoint. Whether you go to all of the events or just one, there will be something for you and your new friends. Pandemonium Saturdays offer a range of indie music, RnB and pop! The Taylor Swift event at Soho Bar might be calling your name as well. There are plenty of options if you're not a big raver!
It's common knowledge at universities up and down the country that Wednesdays are the day to be going out on. That doesn't mean that the rest of the week that there aren't events, but if you're planning on going out on one day, make it a Wednesday.
Luckily for you, Liverpool has all the rave music venues your heart could wish for. The most obvious option would be the Secret Warehouse Rave. Though the Official Freshers House Party is a good choice as well. You're spoilt for choice!
