The Only Way is Essex rich list: These are the shows richest stars

You may love them or hate them but you have to admit since 2011, the cast members have come a long way. From initially making only £50 per show, the cast have shown us how it’s done by creating a worldwide shoe empire, to having their very own show. This is how much the TOWIE cast members are worth now and how they made their wonga.

12. Megan Mckenna – at least £315,000

Megan first hit the public eye when she appeared on the reality TV programme, Ex on the beach in 2015. She then appeared on Big Brother, reportedly earning 30K for her appearance. She of course featured on The Only Way Is Essex as Pete Wicks girlfriend, but after it came out he cheated on her, she left the show. She has a range of beauty lines including hair extensions, cosmetics and fashion endorsements, often getting paid on social media for her brand partnerships. A woman of many talents, she has also launched her own restaurant McGill, which has already created a strong fanbase. The reality queen has left Bruntwood behind and ventured into launching her own music career in country music, and she’s doing pretty awesome. She made headlines when her single overtook Taylor Swifts to the number one spot on Spotify. After her stint on Big Brother, she was estimated to be worth £315,000 but since then she’s launched a number of businesses and started her career in music. We wouldn’t be surprised if she’s doubled if not troubled her net worth. Not bad girl, not bad!

11. Ferne Mccan – at least £400,000

Ferne has bagged herself a bit of a presenting career after TOWIE. She has a slot on This Morning and appeared on I’m a celebrity. She also has her own food and fashion blog which has a strong following. She heavily pushes Herbalife and gets paid for a number of social media brand partnerships. Since the birth of her daughter, Ferne landed her very own TV programme ‘First time mum’ on ITVBE.

10. Chloe Sims – at least 1M

This bombshell has reportedly joined the millionaires club, thanks to her beauty parlour in Brentwood. Her wealth is also thanks to her numerous modelling ventures and personal appearances. Finally, her autobiography ‘The only way is up’ has helped her stack up the wonga.

9. Tommy Mallet – at least 1M

Tommy started his career as a model at the age of 14. Later he appeared on TOWIE and quickly made Georgie his girlfriend. Tommy has launched a number of businesses including Circuit and and Romford Nightclub. In an interview he said he always wanted to start a footwear brand, after growing up and not being able to afford trainers, he wanted to bring affordable footwear to the market. He has now built a worldwide footwear brand ‘Mallet Footwear’, which is stocked in Selfridges, Flannels, Tessuti and many other stores. The brand has ventured out to the Netherlands and is set to make Tommy a small fortune. Not bad for a North London boy!

8. Lauren Goodger – 2.1 million

Lauren was one of the first from Towie to hit the 1M mark with her fake tan range Lauren’s Way. She also expanded the brand to offer eyelashes and lip glosses. However in 2017 Lauren posted to Instagram of her business partners deceitful behaviour. “I don’t want to air dirty laundry but I had a company set up years ago with my business partner, and believed I was 50/50 in this business. After years of no getting a penny and being logged out the social platforms for my own brand LAURENS WAY it has now come to me asking for your help.” The beauty is now seeking legal action against her business partner. She has also appeared on CBB and done a number of brand partnerships on social.

7. James Argent – £1.1 million

James dated Gemma Collins on TOWIE, and was a beloved part of the show for 8 years, even when he took an enforced break to go to a rehabilitation centre. Across 8 years on the show, an appearance on Sugar Free Farm, Celebs Go Dating, Loose Women, All Star Family Fortunes, The Jump, Britain’s Got More Talent, Celebrity Coach Trip and pantomime appearances, James Argent managed to amass quite a sum of money. 6. Amy Childs – 3.1 million

The OG of TOWIE Amy Childs has done very well for herself with an estimated wealth of 5M. She didn’t stay on TOWIE for long but seemingly has a great business mind. Amy has launched fashion ranges, tanning products, eyelashes and perfumes. Amy seems to have done it all, featuring on CBB and coming fourth, as well as having her own show ‘It’s all about Amy’. This impression lady even has her own fitness DVD, beauty salon and clothing range with AC.

5. Gemma Collins – 3.7 million

We’ve noticed Gemma is a seriously hard-working woman. If you scroll her Instagram, nearly every single post is sponsored, meaning she is raking in the cash! Not only does she make her fortunes through brand partnerships, but she’s also made various TV appearances. In 2014 she appeared on I’m a celebrity for three days and has presented on This morning and Loose Women. She also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother. If this isn’t impressive enough, Gemma has also dipped her toes in the US by featuring in Orange is the new black promo. She has a boutique store in Brentwood which stocks plus size clothing and has proved really popular. She also teamed up with Boohoo to launch her very own plus size range. It doesn’t stop there, Gemma landed a role in a Netflix promotional video, featured in Masterchief and even launched a clothing range in Marbella! This isn’t surprising as it isn’t a secret that she absolutely loves Marbs, even buying a house in Spain with her bf Arg earlier this year.

4. Billie Faiers – 4 million

Billie came to our screens in 2010 when TOWIE started, along with sister Sam. She stayed on the show until 2016, when she began appearing on The Mummy Diaries with her sister. They now star together alongside their families in the show. Through TV and her own business ventures, she has racked up quite a net-worth, earning about £100 a day on TOWIE, and money on public appearances. She also owns a Brentwood clothing store Minnies with her sister.

3. Joey Essex – 6.3 million

Who would have thought it.. Joey Essex has come up top as the TOWIE cast member to have made the most money. Joey is known for his un-clever comments and seems to play on this and its seemingly worked well for his bank balance. Joey has managed to land a number of TV deals including Educating Joey Essex and featured in The Jump, I’m a celebrity get me out of here, Celebs go dating and Splash.

2. Sam Faiers – 8 million

Sam has been involved in a number of projects including launching a number of fashion ranges, signing modelling contracts, an eyelash range, launched her own fragrance and co-found All bits London with her boyfriend Paul. She released a tell-all book which was rumoured to make the star £700,000 alone. She also has her own clothing range with Very. Sam has teamed up with her sister Billie on a number of projects including their boutique Minnies and their very own TV show ‘The Mummies Dairies’ on ITVBE which showcases her and her sisters lives with their children and partners.

1. Mark Wright – £9.1 million

The TOWIE original is married to Michelle Keegan, who is a millionaire in her own right, estimated to be worth 2.7M. Mark lives in the US after landing himself a presenting job on Extra. He has also done a number of other presenting jobs and starred in I’m a celebrity get me out of here and Strictly come dancing. He has 20% shares in Billericay Town FC and recently completed a money-making development project which was rumoured to eventually make the star 5M.
