Who is Miranda Hart?
Miranda Katherine Hart Dyke was born in Torquay on the 14th of December 1975.
She comes from a military and aristocratic background. Her father was Captain David Hart Dyke, who was an officer in the Royal Navy. Her mother was the daughter of Sir Willliam Luce, who was an administrator and diplomat.
Miranda Hart was raised in Petersfield and went to Downe House, a private, independent boarding school for girls in Berkshire. Famous schoolmates include Clare Balding, who went on to present shows such as BBC Sport and Good Morning Sunday.
After school, Miranda Hart went to the University of West England, in Bristol. Here, she studied political science, graduating with a 2:1. Miranda went on to complete a postgraduate course in acting at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in Wigan.

In 2024, Miranda married Richard William Fairs.
