Overview

Is Edge Hill University right for you?

Edge Hill is a proper campus university: 160 green acres on the edge of the market town of Ormskirk, with halls, lectures, the SU, a pool and sports pitches all within a few minutes' walk. It's a friendly, close-knit place, and its halls regularly win national awards.

First years from the UK and EU are guaranteed a room if they meet the deadline, and you pick your own room online. Hall prices for 2026/27 run from £93 to £175 a week with bills included. The trade-off is that Ormskirk is quiet. For big nights out you'll be heading to Liverpool, about 35 minutes away by train.
