Overview

Is London Metropolitan University right for you?

London Met is a properly inner-city university, with campuses on Holloway Road in Islington and in Aldgate, on the edge of the City and Shoreditch. It's a practical, career-focused university with a very diverse student body, and many students live at home and commute.

It doesn't own or manage any halls, so it can't guarantee you a room. Instead, it lists private halls across London. For 2026/27, most start at £200–£300+ a week, and Islington one-bed flats average around £2,100 a month. If you're moving to London for it, budget carefully and start your housing search early.
