Overview

Is Glasgow Caledonian University right for you?

GCU is a big modern university right in the middle of Glasgow. The single Cowcaddens campus sits just north of the city centre, so shops, gigs, bars and the main train and bus stations are all a few minutes' walk away. It's strongly career-focused, with lots of professionally accredited courses, and it's especially known for health subjects like physiotherapy.

The big thing to know is accommodation. GCU has just one on-campus residence, Caledonian Court, with 660 places, and it doesn't guarantee rooms. Glasgow has a housing shortage, so many students rent privately. Sort your housing early and you'll have a whole city on your doorstep.
